Well since some businesses require their employees to use Google Calendar and many college student use it at even though we at TMM disagree with Google's privacy practices some will find it necessary to use it.
This is a way to use it encryption -

IBM's Nathan Harrington has an interesting essay on using open-source tools to ensure privacy on Google Calendar:
Store only encrypted data for event names and descriptions in Google Calendar.
Firefox 1.5 or greater is required, as well as GnuPG - the Gnu Privacy Guard, also you can download the sample code (27k Zipfile) at the link below.
