6.7/10.0
It's not a survival howto movie. The background is that something happened that killed off all the animals and crops in the world. The world is getting colder and nothing can grow or be raised. Cut to a few years later ...

I hope the movie is better than the book.

This movie wasn't as depressing as I thought it would be:
- they find a beetle, which means that the ecosystem is starting to get itself going again.
- the kid hooks up with a family who don't seem to be cannibals.
I found 'No Country for Old Men' much more of a downer.
They used fire a lot. In that situation, I would be very worried about it attracting thugs.
The timescale was several years after the collapse. In that timeframe, I would
expect everyone to either be dead or adapted to the new situation, not on the road.
And they showed effective use of a tactical wheelbarrow!
