I suppose we are all gob smacked by events. It will take some  time to make sense of it.

I haven't been doing much reading lately with all that has been going on in our house over the last 6 months or so but I finally found time to go to the library last week.  I got 3 books but it looks like I have them for the next 6 months as - according to their website - the library is now closed until "at least October", and my new "due back date" for the books is 10 October.

One of them is "Phoenix rising, day of Judgement" by William W Johnstone.  It is described as a "political thriller" and is a fictional story about a character (obviously based on George Soros) manipulating the US constitution to be amended so that a "naturalised citizen" can be elected to the position of POTUS so that a muslim can, and subsequently is, elected.  He soon, of course, "cancels" everything formerly "American" and declares the former USA to be a muslim state, changing its name, "legislates" for "mandatory Islamic conversion" and commences "deporting Jews and Christians to concentration camps and killing them. He also bring about the collapse of "Wall st" and "financial system".

The book is about the "underground movement" that has sprung up (in Alabama and Mississippi) to "take back America"  (sound familiar?  "take back America / make America great again).  The book is dated 2013, but I think it was originally written a lot earlier because it has the main characters being Vietnam war veterans and some of them talking about their military service in "the late 1950s or early 60s.

I'm only about 3/4 through the story yet, and I've got up to the part about the "freedom conference" that they've arranged where they have the text of the "speeches" and they talk about "repealing income tax", "promoting individual responsibility" - in short just about everything that I've heard over the years from people on this site.  Someone had a proposal to "reintroduce the constitution as it originally stood", but make the amendments of:  1.   Repeal the "a POTUS candidate can now be a naturalised citizen" clause"  2.  Repeal the "right" to collect income tax  3.  Introduce "term limits" for all politicians.

They talk about the strange correlation between the "liberal left" and Islam.  This is explained by the G Soros character only pretending to be interested in Islam, as a means to an end, and selling the idea because "we cannot hold all peoples to the same standards" and "we cannot impose our morality on 3rd world people" - this attitude justifies a lot of barbarism.  The only thing that is missing is the "gay agenda" that the liberal left is imposing on the world today - another thing that makes me think that this book was written well before 2013.

I am just waiting for them to talk about the "NAP".

One of the major freeways in PHX after stay-at-home enacted - but don't go to bars (closed) or gentlemen's clubs (probably closed - staying 6 ft. away kind of puts a damper on things anyway) - everything else (food, gas, and just about everything I do when I go out) and you're fine.


     Got a third call from a hospital wanting to know if I transport CoVID-19 pt's - I said since the SNiF's we deal with aren't accepting them I can't take the chance of transporting a CoVID pt then next transporting a pt to them and then that pt tests positive and then Media gets ahold of the info and then ...
     I asked them how many positive pt's they had (this famous hospital has nothing to do with the product produced by Hellman's for sandwiches  )  Well, they had one.  Early 20's, ambulatory [can walk] - they called me first time when discharging and I told them at that time we're not set up for it.  Pt apparently walked home (5mi.) - although I mentioned to caller if it had been me as soon as I stepped out of the hospital I would have called a cab or Uber - caller mentioned that's probably what happened.

Way to go NWO, a lot of people are sick so wreck the world's economy, and get Bill Maher to go into ecstasy over the thought of America going through a recession.

How would we know if this were a hoax?

One could look at the results.  Everyone, including preppers, libertarians, anarchists, militia, patriots ... They are all standing down.

One heckuva execution.

There have been far worse "pandemics" throughout history and these ridiculous "curfews" and "lockdowns" have not been imposed on people.
