---
PHOENIX — Arizona Governor Doug Ducey has issued a stay-at-home order for residents of our state, set to go into effect Tuesday at 5 p.m.

[...]

The order states that Arizona residents must limit their time away from home except when involved in "essential activities," work or volunteering in "essential functions," using any services or products provided by essential businesses, and employment if they are a sole proprietor or family-owned business who works in an office separate but is not open to serve the public.
---

There's probably going to be another run on the mostly re-stocked stores - even though anything like that is considered 'essential'.

It can only apply nationally if it is in the U.S. Code, federal law.

It is.   This law amended 42 U.S.C 5207 Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act to add the following provision:

There have been far worse "pandemics" throughout history and these ridiculous "curfews" and "lockdowns" have not been imposed on people.

What jurisdiction has that statute in place?

Seeing as it was a law enacted after "Katrina", I guess the statute applies everywhere.  In this case it applies to Texas, but I assume that it covers the 2A rights for the whole country.

I'm sure that if I'm wrong, someone will correct me.

Do your own research.

Find some site that has reliable statistics on the resolution of an infection, that is of known cases where the person has either gotten over the virus, or died.  Add those two results up, divide the number who died by the total number of resolved cases.

Granted, there are hopefully MANY cases out there where folks have gotten ill with this thing, and gotten better without the cause being identified.

But the statistical results of those who were ill enough to seek medical treatment, & got tested, are disturbing.

South Korea is touted in the media as doing "massive testing".  Of those in S.Korea where their illness has ended, the death rate is something over 3%.

What I'm wondering is why are people putting up with, and embracing and praising,  this silly #@^&?

Since last week my "email" has been flooded with messages from every business I've dealt with over the years all saying the same garbage ("our policy" is to embrace this silliness and we have closed down everything and are now hiding under our desks with our hands and feet soaking in disinfectant, wearing rubber gloves, respirators and facemasks").  My son was in the middle of a process to have his teeth removed and dentures fitted, he got to the stage of having four teeth left, and now the whole process has been "cancelled", postponed I hope.

Small businesses have been closed down and will never recover, and people are lauding it.

Every business that I talk to on the telephone - ones that are still open that is - has a lengthy spiel about "why we are absolutely ecstatic about having to "comply" with government demands" before someone will answer the call.

Why do people seem to be so happy to "comply" with all this #@^&?

There have been executive orders in place Sept. 11 allowing assorted gov. agencies do whatever they want if martial law is declared. Confiscation of anything they want. Food, vehicles, fuel, guns, ammo, property...etc.. Forced relocation into camps (for your safety) forced labor at what ever the bureaucrats want (reallocation of labor)
Think of your worst Orwellian nightmare, multiply by 10.
