I also recommend the following.....

The Boy Scout Handbook Don't laugh, it has some good survival and general knowledge tips for the novice...

Any Military Field Manual especially The Special Forces and US Ranger Handbook

US Army Field Manual 7-8.  Infantry Rifle Platoon & Squad.
Don't know if you can get FMs, but the Infantryman's Bible is a particularly handy one to have.

ClaireWolfe.com is down, but Claire's Amazon store is still alive at http://astore.amazon.com/clairewolfeco-20/105-4750152-8362854

Okay, you've lost me.  Apparently I'm doing something wrong.

How do I get to Amazon and get Claire credited if what I want is not in Claire's store?

There used to be an Amazon link through Wolfesblog that credited Claire no matter what I went after.  Where's that link??

When I go to Claire's store I have to get something 'off the shelf' or I'm stuck.

I don't see any limitations there. Use the search box on the right side of the page. It appears to search all of Amazon. I can't verify that it gives Claire credit, but it would surprise me if it doesn't.

Yes, but under the caption 'Select Category' books are not listed, and if I try to select no category I get reprimanded.

Bill, please try to search for a book title in that box.  I can't get to the normal Amazon page from which I can find anything.

I must be stoopid, I can't figure it out.

Why can't we just get the link that was on Wolfesblog, that went to Amazon (the real page, not Claire's store) and credits Claire?

I don't think that search box does give credit to Claire, it goes directly to their own page and, as said by CL, it doesn't list books. I've tried that before and gone around in circles.

I believe we need the other link to "generic Amazon for Claire" (or whatever it was called at Wolfesblog) in order to give her credit -- and that link may now be gone.

I clicked on the "Powered by Amazon" button below the search box, and got a link to Amazon that mentions Claire. This may be what you guys are looking for. I removed the extraneous stuff to get:

Thanks, Bill, I didn't realize 'Powered by Amazon' was clickable.  Amazon came up, and it recognized me.

Thanks again

I haven't looked to see if Amazon has changed, but I refuse to order anything from a company who will not provide a human being at the end of a toll-free phone number, for those of us who don't trust or can't figure out some cybercrap.

So then, uh, don't order from them.
