Made me laugh.

Funny...guess it's my "memes" acting up.  I saw "stop the NRA" and assumed the link was for a gun freedom group.

Got a real kick out of this:
Quote
… And completely disregarded the democratically-expressed will of the people of the District of Columbia, depriving D.C. citizens of a strict handgun law enacted thirty years ago.

...because of course if they're deprived of their strict handgun law they'll be forced, simply forced to go out and buy handguns...

Gyod, what logic.

Hey, now. I think you're taking this a little too lightly. With the loss of the gun ban in DC, there's a distinct possibility that, unlike today,  we could start seeing crimes committed with guns right in our nation's capitol!

The Brady's blogged this "judicial activism" at http://www.bradycampaign.org/blog/2007/03/14/taking-aim-at-judicial-activism/ . Lots of gunnies chimed in, including moi with my standard L. Neil Smith quotes.

Sorry, Bill. My understanding is that most of our forum is open to anyone to read, just requires registration to post a reply or new topic. Some areas are restricted to members, but that board isn't among them. I'll check this out with the admin and make sure I've got my ducks in a row.

But, now that you've signed in, I hope you'll take a good look around. We're not quite as whacky and free wheeling over there, but we have a good bunch anyway. :) ML

I was over there for a while, but they kept having some kind of technical problem and the system would throw me off and wouldn't let me back on.  Then I'd get back on for a short time, only to be thrown out by a computer again.  Kinda reminded me of the old movie "2001 A Space Oddsey". I think HAL must have been doing me in.  I finally gave up.  I really do like Boston, though never met him, I've read his stuff, just like I've read our own Claire's stuff, but was going crazy trying to stay in good standing with that machine they have over there.  Oh well...

Well, good grief! Why didn't you say something if you were having problems? We've had glitches from time to time, like anybody else, but we can't do anything about it if we don't know about it!!! ARGGG :)

We'd love to hear from you!  MamaLiberty

IMHO, the biggest crimes in DC are created by people armed with a pen! (That -now dead- gun ban comes to mind!)

The pen wouldn't mean much if it weren't backed up with armed thugs willing to kill innocents in the name of the 'law',
and the folks willing to obey without question... but I guess there's some overlap there.
