You can use PayPal or gold or FRNs or whatever, but we really need some help from the members here to get enough bandwidth not only for our present needs, but also to grow in the future.

I'm going to keep track of donations by modifying this post. Our goal is $300, which is what it costs for five years of nearly unlimited hosting at site5.com, the current host of billstclair.com.

I'm going to include names here unless you request that your donation be anonymous. feralfae neglected to include any contact information. I'm going to play point man for this, but if you prefer to send money to feralfae or Elias Alias, I'm sure they'll be happy to send it to me. Once I've got the bucks, I'll start the process of moving the forums to the new hosting service, where we'll have plenty of room for expansion.

Amazing! We're there already, and mostly from the Moderator family. Talk about putting your money where your mouth is...

I instructed PayPal to transfer the money to my bank account, which they said will take 3-4 business days, and should be complete by next Wednesday afternoon. As soon as it gets there, I'll open a site5.com account, and transfer our code and a datbase sample over there. Then I'll tell people how they can check it out to make sure it looks good. Then one night, I'll flip the switch, and we'll have a new home.

That was one of the balls in the air Zoot, I had to wait for Debra/Claire to make a paypal or other means available to donate to, and then Rawles, and then the JRC newsletter as well as assorted late arriving bills from the NC meetup.

So now I can just donate here, and it will go to Claire, and then the JRC thing will also become clear as well.
