Northern Illinois University gunman
Quote
Steven Kazmierczak checked into a hotel near Northern Illinois University three days before his deadly shooting spree at the campus, paying cash and signing in using only his first name, the hotel manager said Saturday.

Kazmierczak was last seen at the Travelodge on Tuesday, hotel manager Jay Patel said.

Oh yeah you can be sure Travelodge Hotels, Inc will start a whole new policy to collect more information on their guests within a few months....
I'm sure corporate execs are going ballistic over their hotel chain mentioned and some asst. manager on duty didn't require the guest to provide all the personal info.

Will many smaller hotel chains follow suit and demand more info when customers are paying cash?
Will all hotels (except mom & pops) require a RealID in 5 years?
