A former investigator and security professional was shocked to discover his unlisted Bell phone number doesn't protect his privacy after all.

Using Bell Canada's website to search for phone services available in his area, Eric Jacksch entered his unlisted phone number and clicked on Bell's WiMax service. Up popped a map with a marker roughly indicating the location of his home.

"Anyone could go to this web page and type somebody's unlisted residential phone number and Bell provides a map showing where the house is," said Mr. Jacksch, who keeps his information private to protect his family.
