Arizona Police Trained for Economic Civil Unrest

There was a link to this article about police training for economic civil unrest posted on Survival Blog that others may find interesting.

We can't believe everything we read on the Internet, but is it possible that we are closer to martial law than we may want to admit?

Has anyone read any similar articles for other locations across the USA?

I take this story, and stories like it, to mean that there are some folks
in DC who think a crash and civil disorder is enough of a possibility
to get prepared.

The fact that the same training can be applied to Any Type of "civil unrest" is just co-incidental.   :ph34r:  :rolleyes:

Yet another reason to leave the cities .... any city.

Yep - 140 miles from town and I do not think they are training Navajo Reservation cops for anything more than writing speeding tickets! When it hits the fan - I would not wanna be a cop!

Sounds more and more like a police state coming real soon.  I know when I was in the National Guard that riot control was part of our mission so it sounds like they figure that is not enough to manage the chaos that is pending.

Tonight on Fox News they talked about a $1 a gallon gas tax that is being considered.  Makes you wonder what the politicians are thinking, other than controlling the mass/peasants of society.  People balked at $4 a gallon and this would get it headed right in that direction again.  However, this time people will have no one to call too.

Politicians thinking is a bit of a stretch. 

I suspect most would most them would love to see the USSR here in the US.  Since this will not happen until they remove guns and take away peoples choices I guess they figure theu need to do it one step at a time.  Raising gas proces will prevent people from doing more than going to work and shopping for the basic necessities, reminds me of the lines I heard about in Russia where people only got the basics.

It seems that the general rule in times of short term or localized civil unrest is to stay home and lock your doors. Most people will do that I think. My biggest worry is if me and mine will be able to get home when something goes tango uniform.
