No one in the county election office was available to speak about the issue when Threat Level called.

Oh no! Is it time for silly season again already? We seem to have this same conversation each time. Oh well... I guess, if we must. :)

Same conversation, just different people telling us to vote.
Personally, if this conversation didn't happen every four years or so I'd be real surprised.

Fact is this country has gone through this same fiasco for ten generations now.
We've had conservative and liberal administrations come and go, but regardless of who gets in.............things never get better for any more than some select few and they don't "stay" better even for that select few...........not past that administration.

This is what the voting argument is all about, everybody votes because they want to be part of that select few for the next 4 years.
Voting is about creating inequalities at gunpoint and bias by law.

In current times people vote for one of two things, either to be allowed to stick their hand in the public coffer, or to stop the other guy from sticking his hand in the public coffer.

There will never be a vote about the legitimacy of the public coffer in the first place, because that coffer buys the souls of the people of this country.
Nor will there ever be a vote about the legitimacy of the means of filling that coffer, as that keeps people working for the benefit of others.........forever, and it fills the coffer that buys mens souls.

Don't know about the "forever" part. The coffer is empty... and there are ever fewer to rob. Me thinks the tsunami is coming in pretty fast.

Absolutely. You think all those sheeple who voted for Obama thought they'd actually get W.'s third term.

Voting is not necessary because whoever will be in position will have his own mind and do what he wants.
