I met Vin at a Liberty Round Table conclave near Bozeman, Montana, in 2003 when about forty liberty fighters camped in an Aspen grove at the foot of the Bridger Range. I've collected two of his books - Send In The Waco Killers and The Ballad of Carl Drega. I look forward to getting my copy of his novel, The Black Arrow. (Yes, I know - I'm the only one here who hasn't already read that one!)

Recently received a wonderful article by a lady who is an investigative lawyer. Her name is M. Cris Armenta. She has an awesome insight into the underbelly of the shadow government. More on her soon.

Also have received tentative permissions from two powerful ladies - Joan Veon and Katherine Albrecht. More on them shortly. This is getting to be exciting.

We picked up the papers today and have already started distributing them. We're pleased. Soon we'll have an online version of the paper, which won't have the graphics which we have in hard-copy, but which will carry the articles and some of our advertisers' wares.

My publisher, Joan, and her photographer pal, Faith, will ride horses at the Tea Party's welcoming ceremony Friday at the Belgrade airport, where Sir Obama shall utter forth his wisdom and charm. Coverage of Obama's visit tomorrow (Friday) will appear in next month's issue of The Gallatin Valley Patriot.

Among the writers for the GV Patriot are four TMM members.

Lots going on. The Bozeman Chronicle called me today wanting to know about my name, lol! They're doing an article on Oath Keepers which should print weekend after this one. It's likely to mix my views with those of the Montana Human Rights Network, with their preferred and cautionary slant to the side of the MHRN. But as I see that, either way the Chronicle prints us up, we win. It's gonna be quite some publicity. Oath Keepers is a vital part of The Gallatin Valley Patriot.

Additionally, that hit piece on Oath Keepers by the SPLC is going to furnish me one fine article in next month's issue. Their piece tied three things into their mix of threats to America - Oath Keepers, the Patriot movement, and the Sovereignty movement. Amused by that, I noticed today when I held the new paper in my hand that the title uses one of their key words (Patriot), and the center-piece article, a two-pager, is on another of their key words (Oath Keepers), and in the 2nd section of the paper is an article by self on Sovereignty vs Statism - the third key word in the SPLC's formula for "extremists".

The paper really is a Patriot paper. I'm pleased with this first issue. Next one will be even better. More shortly....

I think we've got most of the drop off spots covered now, except for Livingston. Joan, self, Mare, and Faith were passing them out like hotcakes at Belgrade where our fearless leader, Obama, was speaking today. Ennis, Logan, Big Sky, West Yellowstone, Bozeman - The Gallatin Valley Patriot is getting around. I've been getting very positive reactions. I just passed out twenty copies at the Willow Creek Saloon.  I hope to get on KMMS Saturday afternoon and talk it up over the airwaves. We've got a very good momentum going, and I hope to develop that further. Fortunately, the Federal government with its DHS, and its private-sector psycho-goon think-tanks like the SPLC, are pushing the public right into our arms.

I'll be around the home-20 tomorrow afternoon, so drop on by and reload. Thanks again for passing the copies around. And btw, Shorty Dawkins should send in an article for publication, ya think?

Hey, you rascal! It's great to see you here! (Don't know how you managed to find a minute to post, but I'm glad you did!) Your copies (one signed as requested) will be in the air Saturday. So will a lot of others, including all the Oath Keepers who have sent me their addies, and some TMMers whose addies I have. Gotta lick a bunch of stamps, lol. I'm very happy to have this first issue out in hard-copy. Not sure when our website will go live, but it shouldn't take long to be up on the web. Glad you're pleased to know we actually got a paper out, Rags. Took a while, ya think?

I think it was about four years ago Basil and I attempted to do a paper named The Jefferson River Gazette. As fate would have it, this new paper is much better than he and I tried to build back then. This one just sort of dropped into our laps as a result of the Ron Paul Revolution and the subsequent Tea Party movement. What really kicked it into reality was the Bozeman Daily Chronicle's refusal to give proper or adequate coverage of this past Fourth-of-July, 2009, Bozeman Tea Party parade in downtown Bozeman. Noticing the absence of any real coverage of what more than two thousand people were doing on Main Street that morning presented some nice people with the thought that someone needed to do something to memorialize the patriotic display of old fashioned Americanism. The Big Sky Weekly published, in their July 10, 2009 issue, a wonderful and extensive record of the event, laced with pleasing photographs of the parade, the speeches at the County Courthouse on Main Street, the after-march bar-b-que celebration and get-together at Belgrade's airport, and the Oath Keepers ceremony. People everywhere were snatching-up copies of that paper. When we saw the great job The Big Sky Weekly did with the events of the Fourth, some of us saw the power in the press. From that vision came The Gallatin Valley Patriot.

We will need to redo the subscriptions ad in the present paper - it's based on fifty-two issues per year. We are trying to decide how much we'll have to charge to mail 12 copies per year to subscribers. Because this is a grassroots effort, we're going to have to charge more than just postage. We hope people who will subscribe will be doing so for two reasons - 1: they want to get a copy of the paper mailed to their homes or offices, and 2: they want to support the paper by paying more than postage, just to be helpful.

As of this first issue, only one person (our lay-out guy, who does this for his living to support his family - so we hire him and love the work he does) and the printing press are getting paid for anything they do for the paper. We have a number of patriotic people wanting to do this as a work of love. That's a flowery way of saying they're volunteering their time, money, and energies to help make this paper come together.

On bulk orders I'm sure the paper will be shipped at much lower rates than individual subscriptions. Regarding your query about a couple of dozen copies mailed to you, they should fit into two Priority US Mail standard boxes at about $11.00 or $12.00 per box, more or less. The paper itself is free to the public, if anyone wants to pick up a copy at one of our drop locations. So we don't want to charge for the paper itself, just the handling plus postage on bulk orders. But again, we shall gladly accept over-payments, donations, contributions, or any other support gestures.

But btw, I'm mailing out copies to friends from here and Oath Keepers at this time, and you'll get two copies in your mailbox next week for free.

However, I should note something else now. Today is Saturday. We picked the papers up from the printer this past Thursday afternoon and started getting them distributed. We passed out copies like crazy at the demonstrations Friday in Belgrade where Obama flew in to support Max Baucus' drive for government-sponsored health-care.  And today was the Manhattan, Montana, Potato Festival, and Joan passed out some bundles to the crowds there. This afternoon we learned that several stores in Bozeman, which were stocked with the paper yesterday, are already out of copies. We only printed six thousand copies, and now it is beginning to appear that we're going to have to re-issue this paper shortly, well before our second issue will go to print. The paper is being very well received by the public. There had been quite a bit of radio coverage of the paper's progress, thanks to local talk-radio station KMMS, AM1450, www.kmmsam.com. A lot of people have been waiting to see it. All of us who have produced this first issue are grateful for the public support and for the advertisers who've made this paper free to the public. We will learn much this coming week about how the people around here will react to the paper, which is unlike any other paper I've seen. But I ramble. The point I was going to make is that we're almost out of papers already, and there is no plan at this time to re-print a few thousand more, so if you really want a couple of dozen you should let me know pronto.

And Ragnar, I think you're gonna really like this paper. I will speak with Joan and Basil about posting an article or two from the paper here, as teasers. Oh, and I almost forgot to note - we'll have this issue up online soon as we can. We do include links in our articles in hard copies, but once online, the articles will show active links for easy resourcing of content in the articles. More laters...
