The Paul Lynde Halloween Special - October 29th, 1976
« on: November 03, 2009, 11:11:27 am »

We remember seeing this back on 10/29/76 with the 'Flamboyant" Paul Lynde (nudge nudge, wink wink, hint hint) playing host to a cornucopia of 1970's kitsch entertainment featuring Margaret Hamilton, Billy Hayes (Witchiepoo), Florence Henderson, Donny & Marie, and the 1970's Megagroup KISS !!!!

Recently we rewatched it on a DVD Release from the orignal master tapes....

Also featured was Roz Kelly (Pinky Tuscadero) as a Truck Stop Waitress and Disco Queen, Billy Curtis as the diner chef and Witches Butler, and Tim Conway looking mightily bored with it all....

KISS however steals the show and saves the special from being totally pathetic....

Here's a sample of their performance that evening....

So anyone else remember seeing this oddity back over 30 years ago ?

Ancient Rome declined because it had a Senate; now what's going to happen to us with both a Senate and a House? - Will Rogers
