Fwd: An Open Letter to American Law Enforcement

“Choose this day whom you will serve.”: An Open Letter to American Law Enforcement.

    Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
    Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
    The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
    The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
    The best lack all conviction, while the worst
    Are full of passionate intensity. --

William Butler Yeats, “The Second Coming.”

Gentlemen and Ladies of American Law Enforcement,

There is a growing perception among many Americans that we are headed for one of those periodic moments in our history when our reactions to events will redefine who we are as a people, where we are going as a country and who gets to call the shots when we get there -- what George H.W. Bush called “that vision thing.” This is happening in the middle of unprecedented external and internal stresses on our social order, the results of which you see daily on the streets.

It is going to get worse.

Odds are, it is going to get MUCH worse before it gets better.

IF it gets better any time soon, which I doubt.

And so, ladies and gentlemen of American law enforcement, the prudent among you should be considering this question now, rather than later: “What am I going to do when we get to ‘much worse’?” ...<snip>...

I thoroughly enjoyed that.  I wonder how many LEOs will ever read it?

I do enjoy his writing. However, in spite of repeated warnings, the pigs either don't get it or they don't care. That will come back to bite them an the ass.

I would however caution the use of term "pig" as it could offend swine by being compared to JBT.  There are also members here that actually own pigs and the use of the word as a derogatory term use to describe lower life forms may be upsetting.   :laugh:

One of them must have cried about it, because it's gone now.  Or maybe my last post put the issue too directly for them to handle?

Oh well.  If an addict can't even admit they have a problem, there's no hope they are going to quit their drug of choice.

LOL well it lasted about as long as I expected it to. I only wish they would at least post warnings or the like.  "hey guys you are getting close to getting out of bounds on this issue. cool it or we will delete the post."  I personally thought everyone involved was being nice and respectful even the cop crying about blind hatred wasn't being an ass.

Oh well.

Well, when I actually suggested that we may be rapidly approaching the necessity "to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security" it behooves the police to make sure they are not guilty of "a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism" ...  I think that frightened them.

LOL ya but you said it in a nice way.  No name calling or "Blind Hatred" in evidence.

Yeah, I was deliberately trying to be concilatory.  The one commenter basically saying ALL cops (with a capital ALL) are evil because even ONE evil cops get away with something...  It was unreasonable.  He's got the right idea, but simply overstated it.

Just the original links to the article above.  We were talking about another forum.  Who...Me? posted this on another survival-type forum, and the thread got deleted.  So there's nothing to link anymore.
