You might make Montana so darn attractive that more of us have to move there.  Jostling, teeming masses of libertarians would be your fault then.  Can you live with that on your conscience?

I think I could live with it...

2013 FIJA Bill

Good news!!  The Montana House Judiciary committee has passed HB 290, the FIJA bill modeled after New Hampshire's law.  The vote was 12-8.  This seems a pretty mild measure, but it is being interpreted by the courts in New Hampshire as enabling jury nullification instructions.   Once they announce a day for a floor vote, Montana residents please be prepared to send a message in support to (at least) your Representative the day of the vote or the day before. If your representative is a Republican you might remind them that (an even stronger version of) this is called for in the Montana Republican platform:

"We recognize both the power and the moral obligation vested in juries to secure justice by judging both the facts of a case and application of the law itself.
We support requiring judges to fully inform jurors of their constitutional rights and responsibilities."

Thanks to those who made the trip (early morning in inclement weather) to testify and support this important bill, and thanks to Rep. Jerry O'Neil for taking the initiative to introduce it.

HB 290 has failed on a floor vote in the House, on a vote of 62 to 38.

Not a single Democrat voted for it.  As usual, they voted in lockstep.

Following is a list of RINO Republicans who voted against it.  As usual, the Republicans are divided between those who vote against liberty and those who support it.

The Hall of Shame- Republicans voting against the FIJA bill:

Duane Ankney
Liz Bangerter
Tom Berry
Christy Clark
Rob Cook

Any publicity out on the street about this?  Maybe it is now time to apply the screws to those that are "Coming due" by passing out Don't elect this guy here's why......  I did that at a couple of rallys for more offensive candidates.  I circulated the edges of the crowd and passed out leaflets until I got asked to leave...........   Several police were "It's a public place Mr. renta cop, leave him(Rarick) alone or we'll arrest you" others were "you heard the guy, this is their venue right now, pass those out when your candidate shows up".  So I went, but the info got out, and maybe some of the real maggots lost a couple of percentages, but better........the public got educated.   I did walk around looking at the ground after ward and only saw low double digit stuff of mine on the grounds when I had passed out a few hundred.  so 75%+ was at least going in pockets.......

Most of the time news is about the same old violations of the first principles of consent and golden rule with a dash of force thrown in........ with just enough duct tape to be believable.

Several pro-gun bills are coming up for a vote next week.  Some of these cats will vote wrong.  Plans are underway to try to elect pro-freedom candidates in their place in the next primary.  I for one am keeping lists.

I honestly believe that voting in the USSA is a scam, completely fixed. The Establishment simply selects those who will toe the party line. It matters not whether they have a D or R in front of their names.
