Duty Avoidance? No!
« on: February 12, 2011, 08:48:11 pm »

Remember, at the time, wanting to fight was seen as a good thing.

I remember thinking that Jimmy Stewart not only talked the talk, he actually walked the walk. Turns out that there was another who tried to "walk the walk".

Always wondered why he never served, thought it might've been that he was too old, and valued as a movie star to be risked. Now I know better. He just raised, quite a bit, in my estimation.

"Humanity wouldn't so bad if it weren't for the People"   -Me

"Give me control of a nation's money and I care not who makes its laws." –Mayer Amschel Bauer Rothschild

Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor; and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst.  - Robert A. Heinlein
