Materials for 'steam punk' earrings - bases from .38 cartridges

I was talking to someone on line who thought they might want to make some steam punk
earrings similar to some she'd seen on line. I cut the bases off of 8 .38 special cartridges
to make 4 pair. Then she decided she didn't want them. (oh well).

FREE to anyone who wants them: 4 pair cartridge bases. They resemble brass buttons.

4 (2 pair) are brass bases with brass primers.
4 (2 pair) are brass bases with nickel plated primers. Looks like silver but won't tarnish.

I tend to make the dangly kind out of .22 and .223... I'll see if anyone around me is interested though.
