Thanks. I asked myself a couple of times early on 'am I better off with or without her', and it was no contest.

There is a war on the mind going on out there, other aspects of this get presented here all the time - from freedom/political issues to local community/social issues - nothing new.

The creeping sickness can be seen by both the religious (as "the work of the devil") to the non-religious as Social/Cultural Marxism.

The creeping sickness can be seen everywhere even among the "conservatives" and sadly the churches who worship attention and money more than their respective Gods. (as a former christian the drivel I see presented as "church" is vomit inducing.)

First concept that is sadly everywhere and provably false - Tabula Rasa (Latin - "blank slate")

Strangely we see this from the political "left" and in effect it is a religious idea! That a mammal like ourselves would have no "pre-programed" responses is delusional in light of observable and measurable fact.

Why the tangent? Because both men and women have a set of "pre-programed" responses built into our biology (given by "God" or not is unimportant, it is there and simply a fact).

What I am pointing to is that there are some "shortcuts" built into our biological makeup that can be identified and even used and manipulated to some extent. No new concept this is, think of how modern marketing is crafted scientifically to manipulate - by much effort and design.

Well, I'm no expert, let me offer some thoughts that may or may not be helpful:

-Women appreciate honesty especially in romance, this means "us" men have to put our hearts out there..that is how it is.

They say this consciously but it is not the full picture.

Women are programed for wanting two things provisioning and good genetics - it is a dual strategy and often the two conflict.

Women are emotional communicators, to most men this can be seen as a tendency to be obscure and not "tell the truth" when in actually they simply communicate in an "indirect" way while men short-wire almost everything and tend to communicate in very direct ways - blunt and simplistic in the minds of many women who are observant and can articulate the perceptional viewpoint.

Women appreciate the most - honest emotion and subsequent communication of this, preferring it to be "indirect" and non-focused. (A male who learns how this works, can almost mistake it for a "magic trick" in it's ability to change social interaction with them.)

Quote
-Women are as nervous as "we" are when first meeting someone.

True, this of course depends on the situation and experience of the individual.

Quote
-Women appreciate manners in a man,  ..just don't go overboard

The overboard is sadly too common, pedestal-izing a women is death to arousal in women.

Quote
-Women appreciate a man with his own life, meaning making her the focus of your life "can" become tiresome

Same as the above, a woman is wired to want to follow a lead in a male, this is a sliding scale item from 0 to 10. A man not worth following will create no arousal in a possible mate.

Quote
-Women appreciate a well dressed/groomed man..not a suit per se, how about a shower and clean clothes?

Stand out - it's easy, just be "a bit better" - you are correct it works.

Quote
-Women are conversation junkies, seriously, women will literally talk for hours, "our" job is to listen, be interesting, think she talks 60% of the time, "we" talk 30% of the time, 10% is left for awkward silences...

One of the magic tricks, yes.

Quote
-Women think feelings, "we" think facts, ask a women about something and one is more then likely to hear "..well I feel..."

See above - yes correct again.

Quote
-Be straight up, but do not be a tool...this is known as tact yes the dress may look bad on her but all she really cares up in terms of "our" opinion is if the tag is sticking out of the back.

The question you frame here is a "fitness test" - the answer is "COME HERE!" and, well, fix the problem.

Quote
Controversial to be sure, just my observations..feel free to chime in

Just read a story where the lady lead character actually asked her male partner, "Does this dress make me look fat?"

I thought I was going to die laughing.

Gentlemen... a woman who would ask such a silly question does not want the truth - she wants to manipulate you... and you'd likely be better to find the door right then instead of wait for more nonsense.

You may be correct about hitting the door ML.

Without a doubt you have "revealed" the manipulation, and again correct, it is a "fitness test" and something biologically wired into the human female, it may be an item that belongs on the "sliding scale" where some do little and others spill over with the unquenchable desire for this social tool.

Regardless, I figured out how to bypass it, and use it in reverse for my own manipulations and directions.

"Does this make me look fat?"

She already knows when her butt is as wide as the back of a bus.....

what she's asking is, "do you mind?"

Indeed a trap!

ohhhh, I thought we were speaking in hypotheticals of women in general..... I see it's shifted to personal... are you actually asking me if I have a big butt??

I have a tough time believing you'd ask any woman here that question. I'd have to place that on a need to know basis.

Fair enough, and I was talking hypotheticals of women, and it was you that has taken this personal.

personally, I feel telling the truth is far better than trying to please someone's ego.
if you can not handle the truth, don't ask the question.
