I had an "Elmer" come over today to point my nose in the right direction.  My HF (long range) radio has not worked since I moved 7 miles downstream.  Sheesh!  The fix was easy, all I needed was being aimed correctly.

I disassembled, cleaned and reassembled the contacts in my antenna, uncoiled the excess coax cable and *VIOLA* am now back on the evening Montana Traffic Net, loud and clear.

We had a great meeting of BEARS last night.  The Bitterroot Emergency Amateur Radio Services team is moving in solid directions for improving our abilities to provide communications for our community.  The full report: https://www.bitterrootbugle.com/2018/06/05/bears-in-the-air/
