I keep forgetting to call our Imperial Leader and get my free high speed internet connected computer. I'm sure he said we could have what we NEED "according to our needs."
I figure he's still busy giving out those cars and rent payment envelopes that he promised in 2012.

Gun show this weekend in Cedar Rapids Iowa.

I'll be going with group members and our respective sons.  Time to add a little more weight to the overall inventory.  Uh... I mean, I'm going to sell all the guns that I didn't lose in that tragic fishing accident.

Weston County Sportsman's Club will host their annual gun show this weekend in Newcastle, Wyoming. This is always a good show, and could grow if there was a larger building to hold it. Not happening so far, and some of us are pushing to have two shows a year instead.

I'm catering a special lunch for some of the local sellers this year. That may turn out to be a regular thing as well. :)

well, it is a 2.5 hour drive, it opens around 9ist, so I will leave Casper around 6ist.

LOL You must drive a lot faster than I do. :) Anyway, I'll be there at noon. It's a really good show this year. Lots of guns and LOTS of reloading components. Prices are very reasonable too. 1,000 large pistol primers were $20. I didn't price the powder, but there were tables full of it, and moving out fast. The guy just kept reaching under the table and replacing it!

Gun show was b-u-s-y.  Even on a Sunday afternoon.  Prices on handguns was decent.  Saw plenty of Glock 9mm (my friend wanted to know prices on the G-19) for less than $500.  S&W 38spc snubbies were in the $300 range.
AR prices seem to be creeping up though.  I guess the inventory glut has subsided.  Bummer.  Stripped lowers were 15-20 bucks more expensive than a few month ago.  One guy was selling 80% polymer lowers.  I was tempted but still need to research into polymer vs aluminum.  I also fondled an AR-12 (shotgun, 12ga).  This thing was a beast.  The bolt carrier group weighed at least two pounds.  $1300?!?  Never mind.
Reloading components were plentiful, including powder.  Past shows most vendors either had signs stating, "No Powder" or "Ask me about powder".  Now they just had oodles of canisters lined up.  Brass was a little thin but again, I went on the last day of the show so it was picked over already.

went  to the   new  Windham   Weaponry   indoor   range   &  gun store   yesterday....very nice...it   is about   20 miles from me..../  it  is in  Windham  Maine  /   held  a  wood   stocked  .308   with  18" barrel  /....have to start saving my nickels  & dimes....it   is about    $1500.....

My LGS has an M1A with 18 inch barrel for $1600 and an M1A with a 16 inch barrel for $1600. Both with wood stocks and flash suppressors. They seem to be stuck on that one number don't they?
At the rate that I can save it will only take me about (mumble - mumble carry the 2 and ...) one hundred thirty years or so. Hmmm ... I may need to save a little faster.

I'm looking into getting a Tokarev either the Soviet TT-33 or the Chinese Type 54. Looking around without much luck.
