It would help if you'd list the sponsors, organizers of these shows. For example, I will only go to those sponsored/put on by local gun clubs. The "professional" shows are of no interest to me. Just an idea. :)

Hit the show in Cedar Rapids this weekend.  My youngest daughter tagged along and got another little pocket knife.  She loves shiny things!

Couple of observations:
We were there Saturday around noon - place was NOT packed.  In fact, it felt like Sunday morning.  Plenty of elbow room, could walk past 2-3 tables without brushing past anyone.  Most vendors were sitting there looking bored.  One guy mentioned he hoped to sell something this weekend.
Prices were cheap.  Saw a lot of 'clearance' tables full of stuff and 'make me an offer' sign on lots of guns.  Complete ARs in the $300 range.  Brand new Glock pistols less than $400.  Ruger 22 rifles for $120.  Even 22 ammo was in the 5¢ a round range.
Inventory was massive; a year ago I couldn't find powder to save my life.  Today, rows and rows of the stuff were everywhere.

To sum it up; Trump is killing the gun and ammo industry!  However, now is a great time to stock up.

Last gun show of the year here was Aug. 26-27. I go every year, and it's usually a good show. There are seldom any real bargains, but lots of gun parts and accessories. Used to be a lot of reloading stuff too, but now not so much. The actual number of guns for sale seems to get smaller and smaller, but Wyoming folks tend to hang onto their guns. I won't have anything to do with the FFL vendors, but even they don't seem to be offering much. A number of old, maybe "antique" guns, but high priced.

Still lots of "craft" stuff, both home made and commercial honey, personal care products and cosmetics, and such like. The lady that brought very nice leather goods, including holsters and CC purses for women, didn't show this year at any of the local shows. A friend of mine who makes crochet stuff to sell says she won't be going back to the gun shows here from now on... she didn't sell a thing at either of the last shows, and the table fee keeps going up. I have not bought anything much at a show for years now, at least not gun related. Since the entry fee keeps going up too... not sure how much longer I'll bother going either.

Las Vegas actually has 3 different organizations that vist, about 6 shows every year too.  The Southpointe Casino and Cashman Center are the 2 regular ones.  The third moves around a lot, sometine in a casino, sometimes in a concert venue.  One of those venues was the one just shot up, go figure...

I am actually not spending much time in town anymore, except when I have enough work to make it worth the effort.  2007-2009 was very good to me.

Cedar Rapids, IA gun show next weekend (10-12 Nov).  I wonder if the recent shootings will trigger (pun intended) a bigger showing than last time when there were more crickets than people in attendance.

Next show anywhere around here is in mid March. My own gun club puts on a very good show each year. Attendance is pretty much the same each year, and we've maxed out the number of tables we can offer. There isn't a larger building in town. :) In years past, I hate to say it but the craft/books/do-dads and antique stuff outnumbered the actual guns for quite a while, but last year turned that around. Still too many FFL dealers and not enough private sales, but such is life. Almost nobody in Wyoming wants to SELL a gun. LOL  When I see one offered - especially at some reasonable price, I always ask, "what's wrong with it?" Must be a bad gun, I'm thinking. :)

Hit the show with my son and youngest daughter in tow.  I've been to quite a few of the gun shows here in Cedar Rapids these past 5 years.  Probably 3-4 a year.  This one, by far, was the most pathetic one I've been to.  1/4 of the tables were empty.  More and more 'artsy/craftsy' stuff was being sold.  Barely any vendors doing business.  Signs were everywhere - "prices reduced", "make me an offer", etc.  I think the election of prez Trump has really affected the industry.  Seems hardly anyone buying these days.  I picked up some equipment for the Dillon and some reloading components.  Brass/primers were cheap.

Next show is in February.  Not sure I'll even go to the next one.

people are not afraid Pres. Trump will take their guns.

most people have what they want for now, I would think the big sellers would be in ammo, and reloading.

There is a much more relaxed attitude these days with Trump in office.  I'm sure glad the reloading component drought is over!

Only three months until the Newcastle gun show. I may decide to let some of my rifles go then. I can't shoot them anymore. :(
