Just bought two new sets of fleece lined sweat pants and shirts. Retired two sets of them purchased a few years ago. Once the fleece wears off, they get a little thinner and serve as pajamas for the warmer months. I wore the sweat suits to sleep for 9 of the last 12 months.

Got up to 41 degrees today and I made it to town without problems. Just as soon as I got the ice scraped off my windshield. Wouldn't have had to do that if I'd brushed the 10 inches of snow off it earlier, but I didn't want to go out then, even though it was a toasty 20 degrees at the time. LOL

Not too bad - power usage so far this month:  Cost this month $34.61.

the condo is "central" with only 1 exposed wall, cooking or the computer/TV are able to keep things warm.........

The gulch is earth sheltered it has a thick (Double Canopy) roof and actually needs minimal energy for heat/cold regulation it stays fairly near ground temperature 70 most of the year with a little input at the peaks of hot and cold.

My condo is usually 40$ to heat in the winter and 100$ to cool on the summer side of things.  The gulch is not grid connected anymore........

Rainy - just means I don't have to water the plants.

---

The latest forecast models indicating the Thursday morning potential for rain is running about 70 percent or more, and we could see around half an inch of rain. It’s looking like the rain could be moving in around 4 a.m. and hanging around through the morning commute.

Temperatures continue to be very mild as the clouds and storm are coming from the subtropics. Even with the chance for showers, highs should make it into the 70s around metro Phoenix on Thursday, and we’ll see a bit of sunshine by the afternoon.

This is God's way of telling me to get the hell out the Midwest.  Had to go to Wal-Mart and buy 'gloves'.   . but stay positive!  Will see today what a .223 round does to an M6 oxygen bottle filled with oxyacetylene.

We'll get a tiny bit of that here:

Sunday A 40 percent chance of rain after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north in the morning.
Sunday Night A chance of rain and snow before midnight, then a chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. Blustery, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Monday A 40 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 32. Breezy, with a northwest wind 20 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
Monday Night A 40 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 20. Blustery, with a northwest wind 18 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.
Tuesday A 20 percent chance of snow showers before noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 31. Blustery.

Clearly it's better to be in NE Wyoming. :)

Apparently it's going to get cold in Chicago.  It's chilly here too, so I put a hat on the cactus (76oF).

We had a few inches of snow Sunday and Monday night, but the coldest it got was 11. Very mild winter this year. :)

I have personally shot at a propane tank, (in a safe, designated place, mind you) I was expecting boom, instead I got the sound of leaking propane for 20 seconds or so.. Maybe a second shot would have sparked the leaking propane, but the first one did not produce the desired ka-boom.. Tannerite does a great job, and its rather stable.. I tried handgun and shotgun to no avail.. It really needs to be hit with a high powered rifle to ignite..

Here's pics of the O2 bottle we shot: http://thementalmilitia.com/forums/index.php?topic=34679.0

We shot a plastic five gallon can filled with oxyactylene - just filled it up and screwed the cap on.  Then a trail of gas was made from it.  Then gas trail was lit and firing commenced.  Nothing happened for a bit so started creeping closer ('I wouldn't do that if I were you.'  'Nah, I'm alright.  I think most of the gas has esc [BOOM!] ...') - no deadly shrapnel or anything - it was just thin plastic.

The M6 O2 bottle we did the same thing.  Filled it up, closed valve, did fire trail, 'Going loud!' - shot a bunch of holes in it as it was sitting in the fire but nothing happened.  I poked it over with a long stick and took it home.
