Under the guise of preventing child abuse, lawmakers in Maryland have introduced a Bill that will allow the state to intrude in the lives of innocent families, keeping tabs on them, and destroying their right to privacy.

The state of Iowa has a law that requires a certified teacher to make visits to your home at least twice a year if you homeschool.  Fortunately the woman who visits us homeschooled her kids until high school.  She usually spends her time visiting with us, asking about the farm, playing with our dog, etc.  She and my wife really clicked and they enjoy each others company.  Plus, every time she visits we give her a dozen eggs!  Hmm... now that I think about it, she seems to visit at least every two months.  I guess she just enjoys our family.

Will anything nefarious come of these visits?  Who knows...
