IF Someone NEEDED New Identity...?
« on: December 30, 2014, 04:59:10 pm »

Friends,

I write stories. Hell, my sales for the last quarter were almost $20!

Just for fictional--but Realistic Storytelling...

They have an APB out on you. You have no Fake ID and no particularly useful underworld contacts and no Computer Computer Computer Hacking skills...

You may or may not have a Large amount of cash on hand.

Ragnar Benson said the "Dead Baby's Birth Certificate" Scam won't work anymore. He suggested using a Computer Computer Computer, but I never could afford his book to see how a CCC could produce fake ID. I suspect that the methods he used are probably also obsolete by now.

Jack Lugar had a book about turning out good Faux ID--but with the modern Holographic BS and Magnetic Tags...

And even if the ID would physical bamboozle a law, when the Computer Computer Computer has never heard of you...

You know, when younger and stupider I used to take a fair hack at Chemical Recreation and even made an occasional investment in Chemical Futures...

And none of my contacts would be worth a damn for weapons, fake ID, Whatever...

But maybe that's because I live in a relatively small town.

So would "Scope out a Junkie and then bribe him to give you an intro..." work worth a damn?

I just need a Broad Overview since my interest is largely Academic...

If anyone thinks its a poor idea to broadcast such info, feel free to PM me.

Let me reiterate:

I'm not seeking fake ID and if I were this would be a Piss-Poor way to go about it.

How about a story exploring a lifestyle where ID isn't required?

While its true that government goons love the picture cards, it's still fairly rare to have ID demanded for private transactions, with the possible exception of alcohol.

I've walked away from deals when the merchant demanded ID for no good reason that I could discern.  Walked across the street and made the trade with someone less nosy.  If I was in the mood, I've make a point to walk back in front of the asshat with my new purchase.

It's even possible to fly without a government ID.   I doubt you could open a bank account.

If there is an APB out, wouldn't a lack of ID be somewhat advantageous?

Peace,

Silver

How about an ID from a different country? Less security features, and a much lower ability for the cops to be able to look it up on their computer.

That only stops local laws.  The really big thugs are the same everywhere you go.  In Europe, especially western europe, but even eastern europe started adopting all this stuff after 2003, you can't stay at a hotel without leaving them a drivers' license or passport.  In reality, it means little, but they use excuses like "so you don't leave without paying."

Of course then you look down at the "up front cash" or "up front credit card" or whatever you've given them and ask... "didn't I just pay you?"  The next invariable idiocy is "its the law."  You will rarely have an eye opened individual, simply because anyone who gives you that excuse is also seeing if you're a "troublemaker" which is anyone who doesn't obey whatever they're told.

We're at this point because of the real sin, the only real sin in the world, of obedience to stupidity.  Our cowardly shithead ancestors we honor, deserve to have their graves exhumed and remains desecrated for what they've done to us.  They chickened out of a small fight with little risk, and permitted their descendants to be far more fully enslaved.

Its not the ID technologies that are your problem, in general its the vast quantities of obedient idiots who will be your enemies the moment anything doesn't add up to the much accepted tyranny.

Try changing a few "dollars" without giving them a passport to scan overseas.  That's right, people would sooner someone starve, than not obey the rules about ID for everything.  I've said it before, and I'll say it again.  It has nothing to do with the technology.  It has to do with all the obedient unquestioning dimwits which so utterly surround us.

Hell computer systems to hack is probably the one saving grace.  The computers are a lot more willing to "discuss" things than your average obedient moron... and if the computers "agree" with us, the average obedient moron will obey them... be he a law or just a regular moron.

In Central and South America and some other countries, I've never had to show a passport for changing money or staying in a hotel.

The only time I can remember having to use a passport number was buying a cell phone in Honduras. I just filled in a random number.

You could walk around just about any immigration border checkpoint in Central America if you wanted to.

Quite a few countries have a real market for various goods and services.

Not a bad idea. It would have to be a passport with the right stamp. You'd also have to have the look, language and cultural knowledge but it could be done.

Don't forget that for a long time, Europeans laughed at USies because they considered all of us to be the same as the US government... paranoid, domineering, idiotic.  They might be right in the case of the majority, but their very own "non paranoid," "non domineering," "beneficent" governments were QUICK to adopt all the idiocy.  Granted in Eastern Europe, despite all the local idiocy, the airport people were golden.  None of the "shoes off, we're checking your socks!" crap.  Course in the west... yeah... different story.  The USies in DC haven't bribed the Central Americans much.  I have two friends who constantly visit South America, and keep being upset at the fact that even to send a package from over there requires several forms of ID... supposedly to "track the package."  (Apparently they've never heard of a claim ticket or tracking number.)

My guess is, they first get you used to some intrusion somewhere, then a little more then a little more.  Two decades later, if you were to compare, you wouldn't recognize the new place had it happened instantly.

The technique is called "Salami Slicing" or "Baby Steps."

there's MUCH better books available, but you'll need MANY thousands of dollars to LIVE with the new ID, man. YOu'lll have to dump your old vehicle, get face surgeries (in other countries, 6-7 of them, spread over a year of time) be unable to risk using the New ID long term (ie, for a job or bank acct) If you really want to be safe, you'll have to go trap animals in Canada for fur in the winter and have a portable dredge to "pan" gold with for the summer. You wont need to do a lot of either, if you hunt, fish and garden (sheet plastic "greenhouse" and wood burning, (heat rocks and water) and solar heating can extend your growing season by 100% (ie, 7 months, not  3.5 months) You'll need to make 5k per year if you stay healthy, and double that much money if you have health problems, or maybe much more, of course.

you must pee a lot and your house must stink.   a pint jar should be plenty and why store it, instead of flushing it and washing out the jar?
