A few months ago DD was ticked at me. She made me something and when she handed it to me she said, "This is what you look like when you're angry." It was a humbling experience and a reminder of how I need to pick my battles, lean on patience, and extend grace. I immediately hung it up on the kitchen cabinet as a reminder how precious these times with them truly are. A few days later she was ticked at her twin brother and made a little angry face for him. He was crushed. I said, "Don't worry! We can be together!" and I hung his next to mine. At first she didn't like that and wanted me to take them down. At this point, it's something we all find amusing.
