Oh yes, the youngest daughter (6yo) decided that bedtime is playtime, jumping on her bed, keeping her sister awake that shares her room, creating general mayhem.
I asked, "aren't you tired?", "no" was her reply.
I walked downstairs, leaving her to glow in her perceived victory over dad. I returned with a small pail of soapy water and a cloth.
"Sofie, come here I have something for you"
She bounced off of her bed and slowly approached.
I pointed to the baseboards in the hallway, "here, clean these with this, let me know when you are tired" and I walked away.
10 minutes later. "Dad, I'm sleepy".
I took the cleaning provisions and said, "now, goodnight".
She went quietly and fell asleep shortly thereafter.
