temps at 0500am was 35, with about an inch of snow on the cars, nothing sticking to the ground, wet roads.
High today around the mid 40's.
winds around 15 out of the NNE.

just another fine fall day in Wyoming

Temp here at 0300 was 37, then at 0630 was down to 32 via my outdoor thermometer. The tomato and pepper plants remaining look ok now, but it will be interesting to see them in another few hours. May just go ahead and pull them. No snow, but we've had intermittent rain for several days now.

It was only 57 degrees inside this morning, so I've put heat on for the first time. Awful early for it, but the logs never actually warmed up much this last summer (or the summer before!), so I expect to have to heat more at least for a while. Will go around the house locking the windows shut for the duration, and start putting up the winter duct tape on the door frames.

After a few near-freezing nights and cool days, the forecast in southern Vermont is for highs in the seventies and lows in the forties, out as far as they can predict. Dry until showers on Friday.

High of 62 here yesterday. Predicted "high" today was 37. Predicted low last night was 34, but it was 50 degrees this morning at 3 AM. Dropped fast for a while this morning, got down to 33. Now at 11:23 AM it is 35.  Lots of clouds, but they are too high for any precipitation right now. 20% chance of snow this afternoon, but I don't expect any. Stiff wind all day.

We had our first real snow this week. Not deep at all, but it hung around until it rained yesterday. Expected high today of 43, low of 23 tonight.

Yep, it is winter in Wyoming. :)

I can't remember exactly when the snow started this week, but I think it was around at least that long. You guys get much more snow than we do here. So these piddling little amounts don't mean much to  you.  Sorry, dear, but I'm measuring the start of winter with the start of needing to put the heaters on at night. And that was easily two weeks ago. :) The snow is just a bonus. LOL

Been a dry year but near-record temps now.  Acquaintance moved back to Buffalo NY recently - it's like -200oF and 100 ft high drifts there to hear her tell it. :laugh:

Snowed all night here. Temp just ROSE to -1!! LOL  Going for a high of 14. Need to go out and bring in more firewood, and am not looking forward to that. It was 49 degrees this morning in the office, and has now risen to 53 with the heater on full blast. :)

And I'm sure the folks in NY do feel as if it is -200!! I can't imagine living there.

-1F now. Forecast for 19F high today, 0F low tonight, 6F high on Sunday, and -13F low on New Year's eve. Maybe a little snow today.

This has been one of the most confusing winters In my memory. Yesterday the highs in the 50's sunny, snow finally melting off from the Christmas day dump. Today, High of 16* and already a 1/2 inch of white fluffy rain. ??? Whooda thunk in Wyoming?
