Tuesday (today) started out as 70%% chance of 1-3 inches of snow.
Downgraded to 40% chance of ~1 inch of snow.
This morning I walked outside to a frosty windshield and dry roads.  I don't envy weather forecasters one bit - I imagine most people blame them.

Next week supposed to be warmer.  50-60s during most days.  I'm heel-clicking with glee as I have some serious spring fever going on.

Just don't put your heavy coat and boots away... just yet. :) It's been above freezing at night for a while, so I set out some plants onto the deck yesterday morning, and promptly forgot them. Frozen stiff this morning. sigh

Winter appears to be over. I'll bet we'll still see another cold spell or two, but after a low of 19F tonight, they're forecasting 42F high tomorrow, then highs in the fifties and sixties and lows above freezing for the rest of the (imagined) 10-day forecast.

I got a propane bill for my heat yesterday, showing that I'm $500 in the black on my budget payments. Called the company. Will stop making budget payments until we renegotiate for next winter's heating at the end of May.

Current conditions re the NOAA website at 3:30PM:
Fair 63F
Humidity    20%
Wind Speed    S 10 mph
Barometer    29.79 in
Dewpoint    21F (-6C)
Visibility    10.00 mi

Actual temp at my hose at 3PM was 66 degrees. Light wind from the SW, and increasing cloud cover. No idea what the barometer reading is... I don't have one anymore.

And  yes, there is every chance that the temperature will drop again or more than once before spring actually takes hold. We live in hope of more moisture, but are praying for good old rain.

Awoke this morning to a sunny 38*, went to a short meeting and came out to close to an inch of snow. Temps currently just below freezing and looking for more moisture this afternoon and evening. Hopefully, we will get it as rain and not the fluffy but wet white stuff.

I AM SO READY FOR SPRING!!

I'll take all the moisture I can get, though I'd prefer none in ice cubes. Got into the 70s the last few days, but much cooler today and cold forecast for the rest of the week. High of 63 today. Below freezing temps at night the rest of the week.

Supposed to be 60% chance of rain today and tonight, but I'm not holding my breath. sigh

I'm SOOOOOO ready for spring too. :)

There was some nasty weather over in AR heading our way last night. It was two walls of hate with some potential for tornadoes. Once it crossed the Mighty Mississippi the storms lost some of their punch. We are so saturated around here -lots of flooding. It has rained every day since last Tuesday. Today there is some sunshine which makes me feel like a vampire -it's been overcast for so long!

Lots of rain and a little snow in the extended forecast. Some freezing lows still coming, but mostly hints of spring. Can't say I much care about spring, since there was hardly any winter this year.

Boy, I'm glad I don't live there. Can't imagine dealing with two walls of hate. :)  I suspect you mean hail.

Snowing this morning. Nothing heavy, and it's 34 degrees outside. Just mother nature telling us not to get too far ahead of ourselves with the spring planting thing. Anyway, since I planted the snow peas outside last week, I will finally get to see if they actually do come up through the snow!

There were some hail-hit areas, but that's not what I meant. When you look at a radar sometimes the weather event you're watching is just a giant line heading your way. I jokingly call it the wall of Noah (lots of rain) or Christmas (snow) or hate (for severe storms). :) Sunday night was two back-to-back huge walls (of hate) heading our way.

Oh my! Interesting. I've never thought of any kind of weather as hateful. I can see about 75 miles to the west from here, and most of our weather comes from that direction. I've seen the black walls of weather coming many, many times over the years, but they just mean I need to check a few provisions and make sure I have enough water in jugs and firewood inside if it's cold. If we're lucky, we see the streaks of white in the black wall and know it contains snow in the winter and hail in the warmer times. If we do see that, we can make whatever provisions are possible. But hateful? Takes humans for that, I think. :)
