The Economist reports on Oath Keepers

Oath Keepers got a full page in the 2/27/16 issue of the British newsmagazine The Economist:

Finding Keepers
Why armed men vowing to defend the constitution keep cropping up

And as usual they only got about 10% of the information correct.
Events and groups are mixed and mashed together in an effort to paint OK as some kind of out of control, violent, armed, outlaw group that flaunts itself in every event it involves itself in. Notice the reliance on the SPLC as an info source?
Someone without access to the web will believe that OK is a Gun Crazy, outlaw group.

It was better than I expected.  Which isn't saying much.

There was a time, maybe 10-20 yrs ago, when The Economist was mostly centrist-libertarian-ish in its bias (except for a Euro-obligatory anti-gun stance, a perverse love of banks, and a need to make fun of France regularly).  Nowadays they're more like technocrats, without any principles except economic growth.  I'll probably let my subscription expire.

You can't be a "technocrat" if you're against gun ownership.  Guns = technology.  Denying it means you deny technology.
