One more reason...

To avoid government run, or even government approved schools, after the discredited DARE program got kids to spy on their parents, now the feebs want your kids teachers to rat your offspring.

This is not new. It was a tactic used by the 3rd Reich, straight out of Hitler's handbook!
It is perpetrated perfectly today as history IS repeating itself! It worked like a charm for Hitler, as it will work perfectly now.
Families don't even eat dinner together anymore, the environment is ripe for schools who have adopted the role of parent, as the parent's relinquished their authority to schools looong ago.

I have a few pro and con opinions regarding homeschooling from two opposite  standpoints. I understand both sides.

I have seen, fought, and heard enough to know that charter or home school will brighten the youngin' better than public schools.

I use to battle with my daughter's teacher directly and in the opinion column of local paper.  Nothing but BS from them.

". . . . . .another reason why I moved here."

Why I battled?  The teachings were not of a proven nature based upon my upbringing and became a battleground between my daughter and I in the living room.  If at some point where I was proven wrong, then I admit it.  I do embrace learning.  The more you learn, the more you realize what you do not know exponentially.

Why it was presented?  Because of a political realigning of the people, such as the K-12 of Iran had done since Reagan, but not of the same material.
