That looks very nice, and it should be comfortable. Congratulations! :)

Awesome!  Being on the land will make progress much, much faster.

what was surprising was how heavy it was.
Truck had no problem pulling it, but it did let me know it was back there.

not bad for $1500, full kitchen, bath, hot water, furnace, could sleep 8, but right now it is just me and the dog.

so next will be a shed near it.

Not a bad price at all, very complete.  My late husband and I had a very large camper with everything but a shower. 8 could sleep in it... if nobody ever needed to get up in the night. LOL It was about perfect for the two of us and one small dog.

went out to the gulch yesterday, thought I would get some work done out there.

not happening, ground was still too soft to do much of anything besides making ruts in the ground.

try again later.

I've almost forgotten what mud is like. The ground is a little stiff here, yet. So is the water.

There's been a hint of mud season around here, but I've only heard about it, since I rarely go on the dirt roads. Haven't yet seen a truck completely covered in mud parked on the street this year, but expect that to happen soon.

MUD!!! Oh yes, it's mud time. We have all kinds of mud, but the worst is the black stuff. Can't remember what it is called now, but it has to be the source of all superglue. They just take out the rocks.  Anyway, my driveway is now a mud swamp and will get worse as the drifts an piles left by the plow melt.

Ah! I remember! It's called bentonite clay.  I may not have it spelled right.

WOW doing the prep work is taking the most time, but hopefully will last longer than not.

not much to show, but it is coming along.

It is good to hear your progress reports FDD. How is that trailer working out? I wish I had done something like that when I first moved to my 10 acres.

the trailer is working out great, for a weekend, keep dry, place to lay my head.

what is taking so long is laying out the foundation for the shed, and treating the fence posts for the corners of the land.
clearing out the sage brush, leveling every thing, squaring everything. just the details of it all.

While I wait for the funds to increase, I was reading on Joel's blog about him using wood pallets.
got me thinking, yes I know, very dangerous thing for me, so I started checking out craigslist, and faceb**K, and have now started my collection of wood pallets.

why not, I mean they were free.

and the clearing of land still goes on, building slow, but I am still moving forward.

Pallets are fine for a lot of reasons. Good score.

As my family motto says, "Keep on, keeping on". Or as the I Ching says "Perseverance furthers".  Good work FDD
