Very interesting. One bunch of kleptocrats outing another, and the fall out will be even more oppression of ordinary people trying to retain what they've earned, of course.

This article was reproduced from Russia Today, which is not exactly unbiased.  It doesn't accurately represent what Wikileaks said in their tweets -- they claim (without providing evidence) that the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) produced the anti-Putin story, not that they funded the entire Panama Papers release.  Here's the source:

Never said it was "unbiased." I don't know of any news source that isn't biased. And often you can't tell which way. The Russians are pretty consistent anyway. And I don't have any faith whatsoever in any of them. Don't "tweet" so have no idea what that's about. All of it is produced by human beings who have their own agenda. I was simply trying to present a possible different point of view.

Personally, it's all trash talk. People naturally have the right to do what they wish with the assets they earn and own. I don't think anyone is particularly shocked to learn that politicians and governments hide their stolen loot. The answer to that is not more laws and cracking down on where they hide it... but eliminating the politicians and stopping the theft. :)
