A distraction from the real issues, at best. They should be considering just how to eliminate the NFA and BATFE cesspools altogether. But there is far too much power and money involved for anyone to propose that in truth.

Suppressors (not actually silencers) are a great idea. They should be available at the corner convenience store, along with guns, ammo, alcohol and tobacco... and whatever else the customers want.

A pistol with built in suppressor. Looks terribly unhandy, even if they make a holster for it. I do hope this repeal goes through, since then the manufacturers will have a great deal more incentive to produce things that will actually work. Right now, this awkward thing is supposed to sell for $1400. plus the tax stamp and all the rest. No thanks. :)
