Spy cameras planted in movie theatres
« on: July 27, 2017, 01:45:47 am »

https://www.infowars.com/cameras-planted-in-movie-theaters-to-watch-and-spy-on-audience/

Video I'm afraid, but the gist is:

"Think movies are creepy? They’re getting even creepier as now they’re watching you back."

And then there is all the stuff people can download or movies to rent. :) If people actually care about this, they will find other places to get their entertainment. It's not the end of the world, mouse... people just have to deal with it. Seems to me I've read that movie theaters are going the way of much of retail business... bankrupt.

Don't worry about it all so much, mouse. There is nothing you or I can do about it. Except to stay away from such places, of course. :)

This is just one more aspect of life that is now taken away from us.  There is a whole new generation coming up who want, and expect, to go to movie theatres and will be led to believe that this is a "NORMAL" part of life.

Just as young people (and even not so young people) have "accepted" that CCTV cameras everywhere are a natural, normal part of life and the price that everyone pays for "staying safe".  How can we expect people to embrace freedom when so many people are willing to give up their most basic right to anonymity and privacy?

I was reading recently about how "everybody" in America is identified from "the DMV database" and matched to CCTV cameras "everywhere" in most cities.  What ever happened to basic privacy?  I was watching a video (in one of my idler moments) of Trey Gowdy (who usually has worthwhile things to say) spouting about "how it is normal to show "ID" all the time", and he reminded the listener how a person couldn't even enter most government buildings and  "you couldn't even get into 'this building' (referring to the one he was in at the time) without showing ID".

It's certainly becoming normalised and I'm cringing.  It should never become acceptable.

Movie theatres in New Zealand maybe normal, but most watch movies on their computers or smart phones.

most movie theatres here are going bankrupt, no enough people going to the theatre.

maybe this is why? Europe may have gotten use to CCTV, but not many here in the states are.

Went on a movie date with one of my daughters yesterday.  She wanted to watch Despicable Me 3.  There were 6 other people in the entire theatre.  Not sure how much longer these dinosaurs of entertainment will last...

Why would I want to enter a "government building?"  shudder

I have not been asked to show my "ID" anywhere, for anything since I moved here except when I opened the bank account, and the one time I've renewed the "driver's license." That's it. I don't go to "movies" or much of anywhere else. And if most people don't care about being recorded and "IDd" then that is their problem. I can't do anything about it... if I even cared what they choose to do.

Mouse, NOTHING is going to stop this train wreck.
