Ok, I know I am showing my age here, but how does one go about starting a blog?

what are the steps in this?
please help me with the wheres, and the hows.

This is where my blog is hosted. The only cost is a domain name. You can get that from wordpress or any other DNS vendor. Mine costs $15. a year now, though it used to be much more. Wordpress hosting is free for the most basic package. I'd suggest you start there.

I hear you. I used to visit a lot of other forums and blogs, but I've cut it down to just a few now. I've gone back to writing my own stories, and most of the blog fare these days is too much alike. A few good articles (and lots of poor ones) are circulated and republished. It would be great to have more original content.

I do hope you'll start one and use some of the things you've posted at TMM. Please let us know the URL so we can visit.

ML, I have several times used links to stuff I had posted here in different places both in comments on others blogs and in a forum. I kept count on a few and it did attract some traffic (one close to maybe 50 hits) but I noticed no new members. Still, it is a great place to try and bring them "home".

You just never can tell.  I have TMM in my blogroll, but seldom have mentioned it in a post. Need to do that more!
