A semi-auto firing that monstrous round?  Ouch...

Ballistics look pretty close to .30-06 to me. 150 grains at 2800 to 300 fps. 180 grains at 2600 fps.

FDD- The top rifle on my wish list is a VEPR in 7.62x54R. Pretty much the same as the PSL you show. The x54R has been my favorite round for years, and the VEPR has an incredibly reliable history.

Bill- I have heard 7.62x54R nicknamed the "Russian .30-06"

Anyone have input on the AR-12?  The evil, black, 'assault' looking thing that is chambered in 12ga?  One of my local gun shops has one for $400 and my gosh am I tempted...

They are fairly new and I understand they have cycling issues if you do not fire hi brass rounds.  My default is to suspect anything like that with the VERY low price point it has.

I want one of these...yes much more expensive but...it gives me happy feelings.

Nice!  Will easily repel pirates attempting to board.
