When I first saw this I thought "this is so fake, like a "shock" headline "man abducted by aliens while eating a 40 litre bowl of chilly", but the story is on several news sites I go to.  So, though it might be exaggerated, it seems to be pretty accurate.

However, as I have been trying to get through to my grandchildren the old adage of "NOBODY CAN 'MAKE' YOU DO ANYTHING!!!!  This man has to take some responsibility for the incident.  Evil can only continue to happen if people either sit back and do nothing or actively participate in it.  My grandkids haven't came out with "he made me do it" for a while now.

I am also a little disappointed as I haven't seen a story like this for a while, I guess I was "lulled into a false sense of security".

Crawford County, GA — A horrifying video was submitted to the Free Thought Project this weekend showing two Georgia cops force a man to cut his own dog’s head off because one of them had just shot it.
The owner of the dog, Joe Nathan Goodwin filmed the incident. The video shows that simply because Goodwin refused to cut off his dog’s head that he was assaulted by a police officer and thrown down on the hood of his truck.
Imagine for a moment, police officers coming on to your property, killing your dog in front of your children, and as you were grieving, they force you to remove its head.

I   suspect  in   my   part  of  the   woods  that   would   cause   the    agency   that   had   employed   those    officers   to  need   to   hire   replacements    as   those   would    have       disappeared   ....../    not   that   I  would    advocate   any   illegal   activity,   not  this   old  GRUNT..../    we   do   love   our   DAWGS   up   here   in    the   woods....

We never get the whole story, of course, but this sounds like a bad dog, owned by a bad man who cared nothing for his neighbors or his responsibilities. Not that it justifies the beheading thing with the cops, of course. If the man had been keeping the dog from harming other people, or destroyed it when it started biting people, this would not have happened.

If I'm attacked by some dog coming down the street, I'm going to shoot the dog, not a cop.

My dog is a former police drug dog, so he is not friendly with anyone.

having said that, he is like a puppy with me, even tho he is 12 now.

had some parents from some school kids call Metro, the animal control police, on him.

Metro showed up, as did the police, So Quntias started barking at them, and the JBT pulled his gun out.
lucky for him Metro stopped him from doing something real stupid.

because my dog is under control on a steel cable, that only lets him reach the end of the yard, with about 2 feet to spare.
Metro already knows about Quntias, and I have done everything they have asked me to do.

I did file a complaint with the police over this cops action, and all I was told later is that it is under review.

if the police are such chickens and afraid of a tired up dog, then why are they police, because they surely would run if there was a real threat.

No problem, dear heart. Was not responding to your post at all, but the story in general. I seldom read the links in these things, but I did read this one. I'm very sorry that dog had a very bad owner.
