Missing. Not Dead Yet.
« on: November 27, 2019, 05:35:17 am »

I've had quite a month, during which I neglected TMM. Fortunately, Digital Ocean is so reliable that it's all still working. And my backup scripts continue to save our bits daily, with a week of archive.

I had my periodic crash, a week in bed, bingeing Amazon and/or Netflix. Then my mother died, and though not consciously distraught (she was ninety with progressive disability from Parkinson's), I couldn't function for ten days, so more time binging video.

When I finally surfaced, I was better than before it happened, and realized that I needed to return to regular daily meditation, having fooled myself into believing that my constant remembrance was sufficient. Not yet.

I had a glorious five-day trip to Cheyenne (Wyoming) to put Mom in the ground, and a couple of days in Boulder (Colorado) with my daughter, while she checked out Naropa University. I'm working on a trip write-up, and will post a link here when it's up.

Time to do a little work on the Beatles tune, "When I'm Sixty-Four", which I'm learning on piano and guitar, so I can play them in April, when I'm sixty-four.

Well that's wonderful Bill.  I was beginning to think that something awful had happened to you (I guess it had really) but you're back with us and that's great.

I have a tragedy of my own now.  My husband has esophageal cancer, and it has progressed to the liver, so his time is - I guess - pretty short.  I'm struggling to cope with it all and all the medications that he has to take, plus him not being able to eat anything is a huge pain.

Still I'm glad to know that you're well and back in the land of TMM.

(I'm turning 64 next month but I hate that song)

We wanted to return on Tuesday, but Thanksgiving travel was starting then, and the tickets that were available were expensive, so we flew out on Monday. Just beat the storm, or we would likely have been there until the weekend.

Hey Bill,
That's a great looking set-up you've got there. Better watch yourself or music may take over your life, lol.
Glad you got back okay from the wild west, and am glad to see you're up and running things here again.
I'm in a real brain-fog and spending much time and energy trying to get clear headed. Can't remember doodley, ack! You young'uns make me sick, talking about "64" and all that nonsense. Just wait until you hit the mid 70s! Oh My!  ;)

mouse, I'm so sorry about your hubby! I just lost another dear friend, a friend of over fifty years, to cancer. He did not suffer much, and died this weekend in his sleep. I've lost so many friends already, people in my age bracket are just dropping like flies. I believe that cancer epidemic may be related to electro-magnetic pollution from the 4G and similar sources. That, and GMO foods, the chemicals they're spraying on us, water treatments, vaccines, and psychological bombardment via media and sound waves. Lord help us once 5-G gets up and running! Methinketh the world hath gone bonkers, and there's nothing we can do about it.

But back to your husband. I'm truly sorry. I know what you have to go through with. My neighbor is a hospice nurse and I get fairly current updates on patients out here in the rural countryside where we live. I'm sending you healing and strengthening vibes and want you to know that I and others here love you and care for you. Let us know if we can help in any way.

And Merry Christmas to both you and Bill, as well as to anyone else reading here.
Salute!
Elias
