Well, you make number 4 on this forum I can possibly confirm are alive.  Unfortunately, we'd be in this situation - and only 20years left to get back to current GNP :

Dr. Strangelove:  ... a computer could be set and programmed to accept factors from youth, health, sexual fertility, intelligence, and a cross-section of necessary skills. Of course, it would be absolutely vital that our top government and military men be included to foster and impart the required principles of leadership and tradition. Naturally, they would breed prodigiously, eh? There would be much time, and little to do. Ha, ha. But ah, with the proper breeding techniques and a ratio of say, ten females to each male, I would guess that they could then work their way back to the present Gross National Product within say, twenty years.

MI6, are the doctors in your area doing actual CV tests? Here they are only testing medical personnel and sever cases. Calling it CV after they rule out the flu and the common cold.

My niece is a nurse. Got this info from her. She went home sick today. Praying she is ok.

I'm still here, just checking in every other day because of battery power, which is normal. I'm "sheltering in place", which was previously called "being a hermit". Only one case in my county. Lots of political action though. I will have to go out sometime in the next two weeks. Peace, Love & Brotherhood to ALL!

Looking more and more like this could correctly be called "The DARPA Virus"... routed from Wisconsin to Canada to Wousan ... stolen, of course, rather than part of some Georgia Guidestones plan.

I don't know.  Next time I'm picking up pt at a hospital I'll ask - most interactions are with RN's, LPN's and CNA's at pickup and dropoff.*  It seems all these people are testing positive for CoVID-19 but no one is mentioning what kind of test, false positive rate etc.

* - the following has been enhanced but never happened anyway
---
I did call two DON's (Director of Nursing - the head honcho - La Jefa 's in this case) at two of the SNF's (Skilled Nursing Facilities - pronounced 'snif') after getting a call from [largest non-profit health system in the state] Corporate asking:

C:  Are you accepting COVID-19 positive patient transports or CoVID-19 pending results patients from hospital to facilities?

Me:  Ummmm ... good question.  What's the latest on how contagious this thing is?  Is it like the seasonal flu?

C:  I don't know.  We're Corporate.

Me:  Well, maybe if we tasked one van only handling these 'possibles'.

C:  OK, we'll put you down as a possible transport provider.

Me:  Well, mayb.. [click].
---

After this I immediately called the DON's if they accepted COVID pt's and if I were to transport a pt with COVID-positive to a facility then pick up one of their pt's in same van would it be OK?  It was basically 'Not only NO, but HELL NO."  These SNiF's are around 99 bed facilities - no problem accepting 'Contact Precaution' pt's - C-Diff, MRSA, VRE (rare).  They are 'one-stop shops' - you have your long-term folks - they are living there, then you have my pt's I bring back for PT (physical rehab - car wrecks, strokes, infections that need IV antibiotics), OT (outpatient therapy) and another acronym I can't think of.  But the S will HTF if just one resident tests positive for CV - i.e. media etc. - it's a very serious PR thing with these facilities now.

---

Enough acronyms!  Quiz your niece nxt time:  What does 'PRN' stand for - the actual Latin!  Also 'NPO', the full names of MRSA, C-DIff - this is what I look up on smart phone while waiting for removal of PICC lines, central lines etc. - no one ever knows!  They just know what it means which is all that really matters, but still - PRN = 'as needed', usually related to oxygen flow from a tank in Liters per minute (LPM), NPO = 'nothing by mouth' etc.

Next time someone asks you "Why do you have 5000 rnds of ammo?"  Just tell them, "PRN."

"Pro re nata is a Latin phrase meaning in the circumstances or as the circumstance arises (literally "for the thing born").[1] It is commonly used in medicine to mean as needed or as the situation arises."

https://www.abc15.com/news/state/stay-at-home-order-issued-for-arizona-to-combat-coronavirus-spread
---
PHOENIX — Arizona Governor Doug Ducey has issued a stay-at-home order for residents of our state, set to go into effect Tuesday at 5 p.m.

[...]

The order states that Arizona residents must limit their time away from home except when involved in "essential activities," work or volunteering in "essential functions," using any services or products provided by essential businesses, and employment if they are a sole proprietor or family-owned business who works in an office separate but is not open to serve the public.
---

There's probably going to be another run on the mostly re-stocked stores - even though anything like that is considered 'essential'.

How would we know if this were a hoax?

One could look at the results.  Everyone, including preppers, libertarians, anarchists, militia, patriots ... They are all standing down.

One heckuva execution.

You can also golf and get go to a nail place/salon here - media making fun of these essential services.

30-minute wait at drive-thru at only family-owned White Castle west of the Mississippi - pt had heard about from movies and I had time:

One of the major freeways in PHX after stay-at-home enacted - but don't go to bars (closed) or gentlemen's clubs (probably closed - staying 6 ft. away kind of puts a damper on things anyway) - everything else (food, gas, and just about everything I do when I go out) and you're fine.

Got a third call from a hospital wanting to know if I transport CoVID-19 pt's - I said since the SNiF's we deal with aren't accepting them I can't take the chance of transporting a CoVID pt then next transporting a pt to them and then that pt tests positive and then Media gets ahold of the info and then ...
I asked them how many positive pt's they had (this famous hospital has nothing to do with the product produced by Hellman's for sandwiches )  Well, they had one.  Early 20's, ambulatory [can walk] - they called me first time when discharging and I told them at that time we're not set up for it.  Pt apparently walked home (5mi.) - although I mentioned to caller if it had been me as soon as I stepped out of the hospital I would have called a cab or Uber - caller mentioned that's probably what happened.

more <sigh> - checkpoints off the main highway - scuttlebutt is family was in from NM for a funeral and then ...

---
That person came in contact with at least 50 tribal members, officials said in a statement. Forty nine of those people have already tested negative and one test is still pending as of Tuesday.

An April 11 resolution bans wakes and funeral services. It limits burial services to two hours and 10 people. The resolution also bans non-tribal members from the reservation, but makes exceptions for who are residents, are married to tribal members or work as health care workers, first responders or essential tribal government employees.
