I know you wanted to write about ... what you wrote about.  But don't you dare threaten to kill off Hardyville characters!

I wondered how long it would take for somebody to get mad at me for that.  :o  Sorry, John.

For the record, though, I really didn't give Mrs. Nat cancer just to make a point about medical cannabis. That would indeed be cruel and cynical.

I gotta confess, I intended to kill Mrs. Nat off from the moment I created her. I've actually let her live a good, long life, relatively speaking. Now ... well, I'm so attached I don't know if I can go through with it. Hardyville needs its universal grandma. But y'see, originally, Hardyville was going to have a plot loosely woven through the mostly unconnected episodes. And Mrs. Nat's doom was the beginning of that plot.

'ya know, Joss Whedon, damn him, has a habit of hurting his fans by killing off their favorite characters...just watch the full 5 seasons of Angel if you haven't experienced this.

People are born and they die in Hardyville, just as they do everywhere else.

If Mrs. Nat does pass away, I'm sure a handsome devil like Nat could eventually find another woman just as wonderful as Mrs. Nat, but in different ways.  Heck, she may even be just as cantankerous as Nat is or she could be ever-cheerful and bubbly!  She may even be younger, but wise for her age.

As it is wherever people are free from government, in Hardyville, the sky's the limit.

Hey, maybe Mrs Nat will come back as a huge badass, a la Fred. "I will make trophies of their spines!"

Are you kidding?  He killed off my favorite character in the first season of Angel.  I liked Doyle.  He was always entertaining.  Joss does have a streak of jackass in him, doesn't he?  :)

Yes, he does.  When we left the screening, we looked at each other and one of us said, "I love Joss, and I hate him at the same time."

And Doyle was one of my favorites as well.  I always wondered why they cut him so quick.

From what I hear, he killed off Doyle because the actor playing Doyle was a pain in the ass to work with.

Well, if she must go, maybe Nat will find another good woman or two or three to take her place.  Anything is possible in Hardyville, eh?

Speaking of Cheese n Rice..........

Maybe Benny Hinn can make it to Hardyville with his bad combover and 'heal' her.

Yeah, I thought it was a bad idea, too.
