Newbie here checking in from Oklahoma.  I just finished reading Patriots, Survivors, and now starting to read survivalblog.com. Time to start preparing for the inevitable..

Checkout "Freehold" by Michael Williamson  it is sci fi, but it gives a concept on what we might want to rebuild.  There is also a PDF novel "lights Out" by Halffast that can be searched up.  There is a books thread on here.  Another thread to check is "What is in your GOOD bag" and "What did you do to prep"

I took me a good month of reading before I got caught up, on buttons not to push and knowledge that is "Where's the Bathroom" type of question category..........(Often asked, and rarely replied to unless you look like your about to burst....)

I've been on TMM for a few weeks now but just saw this blog and had not realized I should have checked in from the beginning as a Survivalblog reader. So...hello. ...and to the person in NC who lives 40 miles east of Charlotte, looking for like minded people........me too!

Didn't see an "introduce yourself" thread, figured this one would work.  Been reading survivalblog since the beginning, devoured JWR's first book, bought the second, and that was it.  Still read the blog daily.  Old school, cold war era survivalist here.  Mostly a loner type, got the Mrs onboard with the plan though.  We moved out to the woods late last decade, not completely out of the rat-race yet but getting closer.  Decided to join here when the S got too thick at a different hangout.  Too many, "It's a fact.  No, I can't cite anything to back it up, just trust me when I say you're wrong." types there.

Anyway, hope to learn and maybe add something here now and again.

Welcome! Not everyone at TMM reads this section, so you might want to repost in this area. https://thementalmilitia.com/forums/index.php?topic=12260.0

This is our regular introduction thread. :)

That's a completely different outfit, and the admin. here can't help you. I hope one of our members can give you the contact info you need to take care of this. In the meantime, look around TMM, and welcome!!

Yep, read the threads, enjoy the quirky search engine and enjoy the often heated discussion.
