I discovered this site 30 minutes ago via link from Survivalblog.  After years in New Zealand, I'm looking to get back to Washington State.

I found the link to this forum on SurvivalBlog, also.  I spend more time at TB2K and HomesteadingToday, but have been reading SurvivalBlog every morning -- great information there on a lot of topics.

Came over here to read the thread about pit houses, and decided to sign up!

I''ve been reading the survival blog since he started and think it's a good site with a lot of valuable information... I still have a 'printed from comp.' copy of his book here somewhere...

Yet another from the NE (PA). Started survival blog reading with Jim Dakin, he's now at bison survival blog. It is more for the frugal (read: POOR) survivalist thinker. Reading is good, doing is better. GETERDONE.

I'm new to SurvivalBlog, but love the stuff on the site.  It is hearteneing to see there are people out there who get it.  I'm trying to get the word out about Sheltering In Place, and our DVD goes hand in hand with the message of self sufficiency.

Are there any retreats planned in the Mountain area?
