Here!  Yeah, I'm the same "Doug Carlton" on the blog.  This will be an excellent venue to hash out some of the things brought up on the blog in more detail, and more interactive which is always better.

Howdy newbies...

I've noticed that the number of new folks joining has pushed the number of members here to over 1000.  They're talking about that, here:

I know it's a time-consuming suggestion,  but I recommend reading as much of the old stuff as you can manage,  over time.  I did that when I first joined,  and sometimes the folks that haven't have had a bit of trouble with what this place is all about.  And who knows,  you might just find out that you have something to contribute to some of the older threads,  I sure did.  :-)

Is that why you have 2000 more posts than me, even though you're 375 members after me?

I have never regretted that I chose to "take the red pill." But there are days, just rarely, when the truth is so ugly, so brutal, so unmerciful, so relentless, that even if I wouldn't rip the truth from the wall socket and hurl it out the window to crash on the sidewalk below, I wouldn't mind if it featured a snooze button so we could savor just a few more moments in slumbered pretension and warm, fuzzy lies pulled snugly up over our heads.
