This has just gone on line.  Check it out.   Basil

http://www.montana-alliance-for-liberty.org/

From the site:

The Montana Alliance for Liberty (M-A-L) is an association generated to assist liberty loving people who are considering moving to Montana or its sister Triad states of Idaho and Wyoming. M-A-L will help its members in locating desirable areas to move to, and in working within the existing social, cultural, economic, and political systems.

Although Montana is of primary concern, those interested in Idaho and Wyoming also belong on M-A-L. The prospects of creating liberty zones in selected counties, cities, and towns, will be explored and developed. Many current members of M-A-L live in the region (MT, ID, WY), and are willing and able to answer most questions about the area.

If you are considering moving to Montana or the Triad, desire to learn more about the region, and are interested in generating liberty in your lifetime, this is the place for you. Welcome aboard the good ship M-A-L.

Thanks for this link. For my own personal needs, I'm impressed by what I've read so far.

The group, such as it is, was initially formed when the FSP was trying to choose a state.  There were two meetings, the Great Western Conference I in Missoula and the GWC II in Three Forks.  Several people have been involved in this, including Ben Irvin, Quincy OrHai, Heather, Andy, Robert Hawes, the late Phyllis Schatz, and myself.

The current incarnation of the web site was put together by the technical expertise of Greg Garber, with Ben Irvin and Robert Hawes as moderators.  I'm one of the "advisory board".

There are a couple of discussion lists, at W-A-L@yahoogroups.com and FreeMontanaProject@yahoogroups.com

Montana has a very informal organization, and I for one like it that way.
